CBH re-launches international Grower Study Tours

2/3/2023
The CBH Group will re-launch Grower Study Tours this year with expressions of interest open for an eight-day trip to Indonesia and Vietnam in September.

For the past two decades, CBH has regularly offered Western Australian growers the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the grain industry and gain insights into customer requirements through the Grower Study Tour.

Spearheaded by CBH Marketing and Trading, the Tour takes a group of growers overseas to visit some of Australia’s most important grain export markets and origin countries. Previous tours have visited Japan, South Korea, China, the Middle East and the Black Sea Region.

Chief Marketing and Trading Officer Jason Craig said the co-operative was excited to bring the tour back following a three-year hiatus due to COVID-19.

"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of where Western Australian grain is consumed, and to take in the wonderful cultural offerings in these countries," Mr Craig said.

“Both Indonesia and Vietnam are two key markets for Western Australia grain. Vietnam is an important and growing market for wheat and feed and malting barley, while Indonesia is one of the largest wheat importers in the world.

“CBH Marketing and Trading supplies all the major flour millers in both countries with grain from Western Australia, and this Tour is a great opportunity for growers to see where their grain ends up once it has left the state.”

The tour is scheduled to take place from 16 to 24 September. CBH is proud to partly fund this tour as part of our co-operative commitments.

Any grower interested in being part of the 2023 Grower Study Tour should contact their local Business Relationship Manager.

Expressions of interest close 3 March 2023.
