CBH Group appoints new Chief Financial Officer

31/8/2021

The CBH Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Stewart Hart as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Hart has over 30 years’ experience as an international finance and commercial leader, most recently at BGC Australia. Prior to BGC, Mr Hart was the Chief Financial Officer at Western Power and has held executive and senior finance roles with BHP Billiton, operating both in Australia and internationally.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Ben Macnamara said Mr Hart’s previous experience would contribute valuable expertise to the co-operative.

“We are pleased to have Stewart join the team at CBH,” Mr Macnamara said. “He has a strong focus on people and relationships, which I believe will make him a good cultural fit for the group.”

“He is a highly skilled CFO and brings extensive experience that I’m confident will provide a valuable contribution to the group and to growers of Western Australia.

“As a co-operative focused on operating an efficient and low-cost export supply chain for our growers, strong financial management and disciplined capital deployment are essential to delivering this value to growers.

Mr Hart’s appointment will be effective from 1 November 2021.

Mr Macnamara thanked outgoing Chief Financial Officer Doug Warden for his leadership of the Finance, Strategy and Information Technology teams.

“Doug has been a key member of our Lead Team and his expertise and capabilities have helped to navigate CBH through the past three years,” Mr Macnamara said.

“On behalf of the team I thank him for his commitment and diligence to the co-operative and wish him every success for the future.”
