Kwinana Grain Terminal

Located in the shire of Rockingham, the site was created in 1974. It has a total storage capacity of 1,001,942 tonnes and consists of four open bulk heads, three silos and two horizontal storages. In 2019-20, the Kwinana Grain Terminal shipped 6.2Mt tonnes of grain which was only 30,000 tonnes shy of the shipping record set in 2016-17.

 Network improvements

  • 2020 - jetty remediation works (ongoing), storage sealing, ship loader and rail siding upgrades, annexe and gallery sheeting replacements
  • 2019 - grower receival upgrade, conveyor guarding project
  • 2018 - shiploader optimisation, replaced elevator and chutes and upgraded fire system
  • 2016 - shiploader refurbishment
