WA’s grain industry takes centre stage at Scitech
CBH has teamed up with Scitech to unveil the CBH Global Food Solutions exhibit, bringing the innovation and global significance of Western Australia’s grain industry right into the heart of Perth.
With Scitech welcoming 300,000 visitors annually, the exhibit provides an opportunity for city-goers to explore WA’s grain industry and the people and technology behind it.
Showcasing innovation and global impact
This new partnership offers a unique opportunity to showcase the innovation, cutting-edge technology and global reach of WA’s grain production, while highlighting the important role growers and CBH play in feeding the world.
By showcasing the dynamic, high-tech, and globally connected field of agriculture, we're helping to engage young minds, highlight the possibilities, and maybe even inspire future careers in the WA grain industry!
What does the exhibit look like?
The visually immersive 6 metre x 3 metre mural showcases the journey of grain from WA farms to international markets, highlighting the innovative technologies and farming practices that help our industry contribute to global food security.
With a number of interactive “solution circles”, the exhibit provides a practical way for school children and families to explore how CBH and WA growers use science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to grow, store, transport, and export grain sustainably and efficiently.
How long is the exhibit up for?
The CBH Global Foods Solution Exhibit is part of the Here, There and Everywhere exhibition that explores STEM in daily life, Western Australia and globally.
This exhibition marks the largest refresh of Scitech’s central gallery in the organisation’s 35-year history and the Global Food Solutions Exhibit will form part of this permanent gallery.
