Corrigin expansion commences
It’s happening – work is underway and going well at Corrigin as part of the 2025 Network Investment program.
This year’s site upgrade consists of four new open bulkheads with 1.8m frames, two new auger pits with 500 tonne per hour stackers, a new sample hut and 39m outloading weighbridge. In addition, a new 24 bedroom accommodation complex, complete with kitchen, dining, laundry and common room amenities, has been built to house the growing workforce during harvest (more on this to come!)
CBH and our contractors have mobilised and are carrying out site levelling and bulk earthworks, which includes excavator based rockbreakers and controlled blasting to get through tougher terrain.
Local gravel is being trucked in to start road and open bulkhead (OBH) construction, and work has just started on the new weighbridge and sample hut builds.
Once complete, Corrigin will have an additional 180,000 tonnes of storage, improved site efficiency and will play a significant part strengthening the CBH supply chain.
Investment in receival, storage and outloading ability at key network sites will increase our tonnes to port capacity and help ensure we are able to outturn a peak of 3 million tonnes a month by 2033, as part of our Path to 2033 Strategy.
