A season to celebrate - WA growers and CBH wrap up their biggest harvest yet

9/2/2026

CBH Group has closed out the 2025/26 harvest with 24.2 million tonnes received – the largest in the co-operative’s history – surpassing the previous record of 22.9 million tonnes by 1.3 million tonnes, or more than 6%.

CBH Chief Operations Officer Mick Daw said this year’s harvest demonstrated the innovation and productivity of WA growers and the CBH network, and set new benchmarks for both scale and speed.

“Growers have delivered a record crop, at a record pace.” Mr Daw said.

“Thank you to all growers, transporters, contractors and the entire CBH team for their efforts throughout the 2025/26 harvest.

"Importantly, it was also one of our safest harvests on , which is an outstanding achievement given the volumes we handled.

“This is the fourth time in five years harvest deliveries have exceeded 20 million tonnes, showing how quickly the State’s production profile is evolving, driven by another year of exceptional grower performance."

45 sites across the network achieving their biggest season ever and 45 sites breaking daily records (see Table 2).Four of five zones - Albany, Esperance, Kwinana South and Geraldton Zones - set new seasonal totals (see Table 1) with

  • 18 days with more than 500,000 tonnes delivered in a single day,
  • 9 days above 600,000 tonnes,
  • A new all‑time daily record of 680,129 tonnes.

More than 80 per cent of the harvest - almost 20 million tonnes - was delivered in just over 6 weeks.

“What used to take over a week, we are now receiving in a few days.” Mr Daw said.

Strong harvest outturns continued the momentum. Between October and January, CBH outturned 7.2 million tonnes, including a record 2.5 million tonnes in January — the biggest in CBH’s history and a milestone that demonstrates real progress along the Path to 2033 Strategy.

CBH also invested significantly to prepare for this season, adding 2.3 million tonnes of new storage, upgrading key network sites, deploying additional equipment, and recruiting and training about 1,800 harvest casuals to support frontline operations.

“With crops of this size becoming more common, having a high‑performing supply chain is essential,” Mr Daw said. “We’re committed to keeping pace — and staying ahead — so growers can continue to deliver harvests of this scale with confidence.”

“Congratulations to WA growers, contractors, CBH employees and the entire grain industry for this remarkable achievement.”
