CBH Group has partnered with Scitech to unveil an exciting new exhibit that showcases the global significance and innovation behind WA’s grain industry.
The CBH Global Food Solutions exhibit brings Western Australia’s grain industry into the heart of the city, inviting audiences to explore the vital role of regional growers and STEM in global food systems.
The visually immersive mural brings to life the journey of grain from WA farms to international markets like Japan, Indonesia and Europe, showcasing the innovative technologies and farming practices that help Western Australian growers overcome agricultural challenges and contribute to global food security.
With approximately 300,000 people visiting Scitech last year, the CBH Global Food Solutions exhibit provides an opportunity for city audiences to connect with the state’s grain-growing regions and discover how technology, science, and innovation are shaping the future of agriculture.
CBH Chief Stakeholder Relations, Sustainability & Strategy Officer David Paton said the exhibit is an opportunity to connect more people with WA’s grain industry and the people and technology behind it.
“Grain growing is at the heart of regional WA, yet it often goes unnoticed. This exhibit showcases the innovation, scale and global impact of our grain industry, while celebrating the crucial role of the people and technology that drive it,” Mr Paton said.
“WA growers are the world leaders in grain production and the WA grain industry itself is dynamic, high-tech, and globally connected.
“Through this collaboration, CBH aims to deepen community understanding of the vital role WA growers play in feeding the world and to foster a greater appreciation for the grain industry more broadly.”
Scitech Chief Executive Officer Dr John Chappell said the exhibit is part of Here, There and Everywhere exhibition — Scitech’s largest gallery transformation in 37 years, featuring 17 new exhibits.
“Thanks to the support of CBH Group, visitors to Scitech can discover how Western Australian farmers are using science and technology to produce food that is eaten here and overseas, contributing to a stable food future,” Dr Chappell said.
“We’re excited to showcase WA science stories like food production, helping to spark curiosity, inspire engagement with science, and highlight the endless possibilities of science and technology.”
The CBH Global Food Solutions exhibit is now open to the public at Scitech as part of the Here, There and Everywhere exhibition.
