CBH Flexi-starter Pool to include multigrade Barley contract

For barley growers, contracting into the Flexi-starter Pool had previously required a choice between a malt or a feed contract.
This year the Pool will offer a new multigrade malt and multigrade feed contract to help growers manage their crop in addition to other contracts.
Will tonnes be limited?
Yes, the multigrade contract adds extra risk to the Pool as it won’t be known until harvest which varieties are being nominated. After the tonnage limit is reached, only MAX1/ NEO1 Fixed grade and feed multigrade contracts will be available.
What grades will be offered under this contract?
MAX1*, NEO1*^, BFD1, BDEC, BFDX
